The purpose of this project is to build a small tow-behind camping trailer, to house a queen sized mattress, insulated sleeping quarters, lighting, and an outdoor kitchen. Time for some modest luxury in the back woods!
Getting Started
Time to start looking at other trailers and existing designs, and come up with my own.
Overall dimensions
10′ long x 5’6″ wide box, containing a 7′ long sleeping area.
Underfloor storage area with fresh water tank, water pump, and monitoring.
Initial Supplies
After numerous sketches and ‘calculations’ I made a shopping list of metal supplies that I would need. I borrowed my neighbors utility trailer and headed to a steel wholesaler.
